Our Work
Refugees are ordinary people living in extraordinary circumstances. The majority of refugees worldwide, and especially the 34 million displaced children, are stuck in limbo with limited economic or educational opportunities. They have talent and tremendous potential. But they need forward-thinking, integrated approaches that teach the confidence, creativity and technical competencies needed to reimagine and build a durable future.
Founded in 2016, Hello Future is a nonprofit organization that bridges the education gap for adolescent refugees. Our mission is to transform the refugee youth experience from forgotten, alone, and stuck to connected and empowered so they can thrive anywhere. We accomplish this through an innovative education model based on the 21st century skills essential to succeed in today’s rapidly changing, interconnected world.

Small Business Incubator for Refugees
They were citizens before they are refugees and the majority of them want to return to that life of self-reliance and freedom. Not unlike first-generation immigrants, refugee youth are entrepreneurial. They just lack the access to the skills and tools to make their vision a reality. We've created a small business incubator program focused on small business creation to unleash their innovative potential.

21st Century Human Skills
The world operates online. One cannot have meaningful economic participation without even the most basic digital skills -- which must also include media literacy. We unlock the tools refugee youth need to thrive in today’s tech-driven world.

Local Instructors & Native Languages
Our programs are taught by local instructors who are familiar with the challenging context our students live in. All courses are delivered in Arabic and Kurdish to ensure clarity and understanding.
Small Class Sizes
Decades of research has shown the positive impact of small class sizes. Students learn better, are more engaged and more invested in their own growth when they are not competing for attention from their teachers. Small class sizes also enable teachers to provide more one-on-one support for students.
