Our Work

Refugees are ordinary people living in extraordinary circumstances. The majority of refugees worldwide, and especially the 34 million displaced children, are stuck in limbo with limited economic or educational opportunities. They have talent and tremendous potential. But they need forward-thinking, integrated approaches that teach the confidence, creativity and technical competencies needed to reimagine and build a durable future.

Founded in 2016, Hello Future is a nonprofit organization that bridges the education gap for adolescent refugees. Our mission is to transform the refugee youth experience from forgotten, alone, and stuck to connected and empowered so they can thrive anywhere. We accomplish this through an innovative education model based on the 21st century skills essential to succeed in today’s rapidly changing, interconnected world.

Hello Future is a UNHCR Implementation partner.

21st Century Skills

Ask Me Anything

Our students are eager and curious like every teen. But living in a refugee camp severely limits their exposure to diverse perspectives, mentorship opportunities, and access to professionals working in industry the youth are interests in. It’s one thing to know that you want to be a video game designer. It’s another to talk with someone who is a video game designer and learn of the ins and outs. These ASK ME ANYTHING sessions is an opportunity to broaden our student’s thinking and what is possible.

Small Business Incubator for Refugees

They were citizens before they are refugees and the majority of them want to return to that life of self-reliance and freedom. Not unlike first-generation immigrants, refugee youth are entrepreneurial. They just lack the access to the skills and tools to make their vision a reality. We've created a small business incubator program focused on small business creation to unleash their innovative potential. .

Our expansion as humans, as creatives and as future leaders depends on the diversity and quality of our inputs. Through these global exchange events, US students will have a one of a kind experience w/ their Syrian peers.
